Red Sugar Apple Sweetsop

(Annona Squamosa) RARE

The best fruit you need to try !!

Sugar-apple or sweetsop is the fruit of Annona squamosa, the most widely grown species of Annona and a native of the tropical Americas and West Indies.

Small, open, spreading to upright tree with long, slender branches; trees rarely exceed 15 to 20 ft (4.6-6.1 m) in height and spread.
Sugar apple trees are best adapted to warm to hot, frost-free climates. Unprotected young trees are severely damaged or killed at temperatures of 30 to 32°F (0 to –1.0°C). Mature trees may tolerate short periods of 28 to 29°F (~ -2.0°C) without substantial injury but be damaged or killed at temperatures of 26 to 28°C (-2.2 to –3.3°C).
The flesh is fragrant and sweet, creamy white through light yellow, and resembles and tastes like custard. It is found adhering to 13-to-16-millimetre-long (0.51 to 0.63 in) seeds forming individual segments arranged in a single layer around a conical core. It is soft, slightly grainy, and slippery. The hard, shiny seeds may number 20–40 or more per fruit and have a brown to black coat.
